WINTER PROSPECT CAMP

The Sage Softball Indoor Prospect Camp offers a comprehensive training experience at our state-of-the-art indoor turf facility, The Armory at Russell Sage. The camp is divided into two main sessions designed to develop key skills for catchers, pitchers, and position players.

The first session, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, is dedicated to pitchers and catchers. Pitchers will focus on specific drills aimed at improving spins, leg drive, and other pitching fundamentals, while also having the opportunity to throw their complete set of pitches. Catchers will work on essential skills such as framing, blocking, throwdowns, and other key defensive techniques.

The second session, for position players, will focus on both offense and defense. Players will participate in daily defensive routines led by current Sage athletes, along with targeted drills and full field reps to enhance their positioning and agility. Offensively, players will benefit from video analysis, specialized drills, and the use of a pitching machine to simulate real-game hitting scenarios.

Following the camp, all participants will have the opportunity to tour our beautiful Albany campus, providing insight into our program and facilities. This camp is an excellent way for softball players to elevate their skills and gain exposure to Sage Softball’s training methods and environment.
